Picture Lifts - Lift Furniture | |||
The True Furniture Picture Lift is the simplest way of hiding a plasma or LCD screen using a mechanism. Your own light canvas frame or full-framed picture hangs over the plasma until the remote is pressed. The picture then moves up out of the way revealing the plasma. The mechanism its self remains covered in both positions. The set up can also be reversed, with the picture dropping to reveal the plasma, instead of lifting. Your picture is fixed onto a frame that is mounted onto two pairs of driven rollers that give it the lift. Canvas streched frames are attached by hangin gthe wooden frame over two pins on the top of the frame. This is the optimal solution for the flatest profile. Framed pictures need to be attached by screws through the lift frame into the picture frame. Both the plasma and the mechanism need to be recessed into the wall. The simplest way is to stud out the wall, which would also allow the installation of wall speakers and cabling etc. There are 3 sizes of lift frame to suit 32", 42" and 50" plasma screens, offering a picture travel distance of 540mm, 660mm and 740mm respectively. Each can carry a picture load of up to 10kg. (Custom sizes are also available) The electric lift operation is controlled by a control box that needs to be accessable. An IR sensor is connected to this box by a 1500mm cable. This control box is connected to the lift mechanism by a standard 4 core mains cable. The system comes with a basic IR remote control. It also has switch control, so that it can be operated by relays, switches, Lutron, etc. |
